Portrait Photography: Helen {Houston Bridal Portraits}

My very dear friend Helen became engaged over the Christmas Holiday and I recently had the pleasure of photographing her bridal portraits in Houston, Texas. Her lovely wedding was this past Saturday and I look forward to sharing those photographs with you as soon as I’m able, but for now, do enjoy Helen’s beautiful bridals.

I shot these photos on an uncharacteristically cold Sunday for Houston, and poor Helen was forced to bundle up between shots, and huddle round her mug of tea. The tree lined avenue and modern art museum that served as our back drop were just around the corner from Helen’s apartment. The remaining shots were taken at the home of her Grandparents which also served as the venue for her nuptials.

I think you’ll be impressed to learn that Helen’s mother Anne fashioned the bouquet herself. And I’ve been remiss to mention that since the portrait session I did for Janice, who now dwells in Dublin, I’ve been using a DIY beauty dish my husband and trusty assistant Benjamin and I made together. All the details for the best DIY beauty dish can be found at the blog of the brilliant Todd Owyoung.
